Privacy policy

MovingPlanner is designed to work without an account. Your moving plan stays in your browser; this notice explains what remains on your device and what limited technical data may be processed when the website is delivered.

Who is responsible

MovingPlanner operates this service. Until formal company details are published, privacy enquiries can be submitted through the GitHub repository linked in the footer. Complete controller details must be added before any commercial launch.

Planner data stored on your device

Your move date, locations, household details, tasks, expenses, rooms, boxes, box contents, address changes, utilities and first-apartment items are stored in IndexedDB on this device. MovingPlanner has no account system or remote planner database, and this content is not sent to us. Backup files are created only when you choose to export them.

Technical data processed to deliver the site

The hosting provider may process an IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested URL, referrer and security or error logs to deliver the website, maintain reliability and prevent abuse. We do not use this technical data to read the contents of your local planner.

Purposes and legal bases

Necessary processing is used to provide the website you request, remember essential preferences, maintain security and diagnose faults. Depending on applicable law, the bases are performance of the requested service and our legitimate interests in operating a secure service. Optional analytics or advertising storage requires prior consent and is not currently active.

Providers and international transfers

Technical request data may be handled by the hosting and infrastructure providers needed to publish the site. They may process data outside your country under applicable contractual or legal safeguards. We do not sell planner data and cannot share planner content that never leaves your device.

How long data is kept

Planner data remains in your browser until you delete it, clear site data or the browser removes it. Theme and consent choices remain until their stated expiry or until you clear them. Infrastructure logs are retained by the hosting provider for its operational and security periods.

Your rights and choices

Under applicable law, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw optional consent at any time through Cookie settings. You may also complain to your competent data-protection authority. Because planner content stays locally and is not linked to an account, we cannot retrieve it from our systems.

Children, changes and contact

MovingPlanner is a general planning tool and is not directed at children. This notice may change when providers or features change; material updates will be published here. Privacy questions can be raised through the GitHub profile linked in the footer.
